ELDERBERRY TEA RECIPE

Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried elderberries

2 cups boiling water

Equipment

French press

Instructions

1. Measure the Elderberries

Start by measuring out 2 tablespoons of dried elderberries. You can adjust the amount based on your taste preferences, but this is a good starting point for a strong infusion.

2. Boil Water

Bring 2 cups of fresh, cold water to a boil. Make sure it's hot but not boiling when it's poured into the French press.

3. Add Elderberries

Place the dried elderberries into the French press.

4. Pour Hot Water

Carefully pour the hot water over the elderberries in the French press.

5. Stir

Give the mixture a gentle stir to make sure the elderberries are evenly soaked.

6. Cover and Steep

Put the lid on the French press but do not press down the plunger. Let the elderberries steep in the hot water for about 5-10 minutes. The steeping time can vary based on your taste preferences; a longer steeping time will result in a stronger infusion.

7. Press and Serve

After the desired steeping time, press down the plunger slowly and steadily to separate the elderberries from the liquid.

Pour the elderberry infusion into your cup or teapot.

*Sweeten and Flavor

If desired, you can add sweetener (such as honey or maple syrup) and a squeeze of lemon juice to taste.
